“Ichigo Ichie”, permanent installation, Art Farm, Marquette, NE, 2013

I was at the Art Farm Residency in Nebraska for a month in Fall 2013, and I had a wonderful opportunity to experiment with some materials I have been meaning to try. I found a large tractor tire inner tube half buried in the ground and dug it out, washed it clean, and cut it to the silhouette of this beautiful single tree in a large farm field that I drove past to do my weekly grocery shopping and came to really admire.
