“Coexistence”, permanent installation for Paradise City Korea, 2018

Coexistence_1000.jpg

In September 2018 I had the pleasure of visiting South Korea to install a piece I had worked on for several months. It is an ocean scene with a whale, two sea turtles and some fish swimming peacefully among waves, a very colorful piece with LED lighting the plastics from within. It was a challenging installation process due to the shift of angles of view in the actual location that I had anticipated but not quite comprehended the extent of change that occurred. LED makes my sculptures much more complicated, but I just can’t get over how beautiful the plastics can look when illuminated!
